The Nature Conservancy is concerned with how people conserve nature, and they believe science is the best way to conserve. This poster shows a plastic bag as a conserver for river life. When thinking of conservation plastic ware is one of the first things humans think of, but it isn’t going to help wildlife, hence the belly-up fish.
Photographing the plastic bag took a bit of trial and error. The goal was to capture the plastic without all of the shine on its surface, so in order to do this I had to back light it. After taking the picture, masking in the fish, river floor, and alternate waterline were left.
